Rosh Hashanah at AJT Kazan

According to the Jewish calendar, on September 18, 2020, a new 5781st year started. The beginning of the year is the best time to focus on self-analysis, to think about the goals and objectives for the coming year.

This time, Rosh Hashanah was a special long-awaited holiday, because it was the first big event after a long quarantine, and most AJT clubs were very careful and painstaking in their preparations to remind participants how great it was to spend time in the community. That is what a teenage club "Among your people" in Kazan has done! By tradition, the celebration of Rosh Hashanah was timed to the opening of the new season. The guys started inventing the program of this event still in August. This year, also according to the tradition, there was a small station game for the participants: at each station they performed tasks, getting "shekels" for it, and then spent them at a closed auction, where cool and fun gifts were raffled off. This event was held in the fresh air in the country holiday camp Regina Petrovskoe. After the main program, the guys had a small picnic with treats, and they also had time to talk to each other and tell about what happened in their lives during this long quarantine.

One of the participants of the opening ceremony said very beautiful words about this day:

"I have always been amazed by the friendly atmosphere that prevails at all the events of our community and our teen club. Today there was a rivalry between the teams, who will complete all the tasks and get more money. But despite the competition, everyone was very friendly, smiling and aspired to help each other! I think this is the right mood for the new year and the new season. It will definitely be even better and more productive than the previous ones!"

We really hope that this year will be very productive and interesting for all AJT, although it can't be any other way!

Shana tova umetuka! (Have a good and sweet year!)
