AJT is a huge youth movement where teenagers from all over the world can exchange experiences and make new friends from other countries and cities. Seminars, Shabbatons, festivals, conferences – all this helps teenagers feel drive, positive emotions and sparkling joy.
There they can receive support or become it for others, are able to create their own projects, realizing childhood and sometimes seemingly impossible dreams. It is teenagers who create the atmosphere of a constant holiday at all outdoor events!
But sometimes there are situations that do not depend on people, in which such incendiary and noisy meetings are prohibited. The global pandemic has hit absolutely everything, AJT is no exception. The inability to organize seminars and field events forced us to look for a way out of this rather difficult situation. Thanks to these circumstances, A JT has a new format for online seminars, song sessions and even regular Shabbats. This made a significant contribution to the development of the youth movement and opened up new opportunities. However, everyone lacked the old and familiar format of loud and atmospheric events, and the possibilities of the almighty Internet, unfortunately, could not satisfy hunger and thirst for emotions.
And now, a year later, the long-awaited AJT – BBYOFestivals off-site events took place in several Russian cities! One of such lucky cities was Kazan and the club “Among the Friends”, which met the guests with dignity. On Shabbaton itself there were representatives of 13 cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula, Bryansk, Orel, Penza, Samara, Saratov, Kazan, Izhevsk, Murmansk, Voronezh and Tver. The clubs of some of them got acquainted with the AJT direction only during the pandemic, and this event became their first and one of the most important. For 3 days, the participants received positive emotions and experienced a pleasant feeling of déjà vu. The organizers tried to make an incendiary program to tell everyone that AJT is back, that we have come out of the screens of smartphones, tablets and computers, that we are ready to party as it was before!
