More than 80 teenagers from all over Ukraine took part in AJT Sport Day

More than 80 teenagers from all the regions of Ukraine took part in the sports competition AJT Sport Day, which was held from October 24 to October 26 in Kiev. The event was organized by the international network of the Jewish teenage clubs “Active Jewish Teens” (AJT).

Both amateurs and professional athletes could take part in this sports event. For three days, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, checkers / chess, athletics and cheerleading professional coaches were involved in training the participants and in holding competitions for children aged 13-17.

According to the organizers, the children’s interest in sports has increased significantly compared to previous years.

“The most popular disciplines were volleyball, cheerleading and 3 km running race. In addition, the teenagers themselves were very active: they prepared a lesson on a sports film and then conducted a quiz with gifts. This proves once again that our teenagers are interested not only in leadership and Jewish values, but also in sports, ”said Igor Tysiachka, AJT coordinator in Ukraine.

At the end of this sports competition there was a cheerful Zumba party. And all the participants went home with cups, medals, certificates and branded T-shirts.
