10 teenagers from Active Jewish Teens won a BBYO Gamechanger grant. We congratulate and wish you to achieve your and the project's goals! We are sure that the results of your amazing projects will not take long.
Congratulations to Vita Kovarskaya (Novosibirsk) on Shabbat set and Elizaveta Gurko (Odesa) on the idea of Shabbat without gadgets; Ilya Sedukh-Tolstolytkin (Kharkiv) on an exclusive teambuilding quest and Keti Kvaliashvili (Tbilisi), who offered a hike for the teen community of her country, Timur Lezov (Balti) on a leadership course; Sofia Novichkova (Krasnoyarsk) on an art project and Varvara Konovalova (Astrakhan) on lessons about Jewish tradition and masterclasses; Bogdana Kozlovskaya on a tour of Jewish Mykolaiv and the following photo contest; Yana Baranova (Khmelnytskyi) and Alina Korzh (Chernihiv) on a series of events to attract new teenagers to the club.
The winners had their ideas for a long time. For example, Keti tells: "Before the pandemic, I wanted to gather our teenagers in nature. We would meet Shabbat together, learn something new, and feel like a strong team. Thanks to BBYO's Gamechanger there is a chance to implement my idea, the grant will give new participants the opportunity to become friends and part of our big family."
"Shabbat is something special for me too, says Vita Kovarskaya. - I really want more Jews to start keeping the Shabbat. To do that, every week we will make a box with instructions and a kit for welcoming Shabbat."
New creative labs and unusual events are not only what our teenagers get grants for. Gamechanger from BBYO helps to develop communities and attracts more teenagers to participate actively in the Jewish community.
Timur Lezov has his annual project. He tells: "Every year we camp with our friends from Greensboro, North Carolina. We need good madrichim, and I wish they were members of our teen club. I think my project is a little push for leadership that we'll always need in the future!"
BBYO and the AJT team are inspired by the desire and efforts that teenagers put into their club and community. We are grateful to BBYO for this opportunity.
We congratulate you once again and wish you to achieve your and the project's goals! We are sure that the results of your amazing projects will not take long.
