Song Leaders is a track where music becomes the key to Jewish culture. Participants work with a variety of forms \u2014 from contemporary Jewish songs to piyutim, psalms, and prayers. Each text carries a piece of tradition, the experience of generations, and has the power to create a special atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n
At the dedicated seminar, participants explore the meaning and sound of these texts, practice translating and understanding their depth, and most importantly, learn how to lead song sessions. It\u2019s an opportunity to experience how music can bring people together \u2014 in the club, at Shabbat, or during community events.<\/p>\n\n
Being a Song Leader means learning how to choose the right song or piyut for the moment, guide a group through music, and create a space where everyone can feel the sense of Jewish community. It\u2019s about developing leadership skills while strengthening one\u2019s own connection to tradition.<\/p>\n\n
Dance Leaders is an AJT track for those who want to discover Jewish culture through movement. Dance here is not just an activity, but a language that conveys history, mood, and values. It charges with energy, creates a sense of unity, and allows participants to experience tradition on a physical level.<\/p>\n\n
Participants in this track explore traditional Israeli dances \u2014 circle, line, partner, and playful elements. They learn about the symbolism, meaning, and cultural context of these dances, master basic steps and technique, and most importantly, practice leading dance activities in their clubs: planning sessions, working with different age groups, guiding participants, and creating a shared rhythm. Being a Dance Leader means combining dance with leadership.
