VolunTeens

Today, volunteerism is reaching a new level globally, becoming a vital part of societal development - and of Jewish communities in particular. It is crucial to support and strengthen this sphere as a foundation for sustainable growth and expanded support systems within the community.

By engaging teens in meaningful volunteer work within their own communities, we unlock fresh ideas for developing volunteer initiatives, better understand the needs of both teens and the wider community, and build stronger, intergenerational connections around a shared mission of making a difference.

"VolunTeens" is a joint initiative by Volunteer Community and AJT, aimed at creating opportunities for teens and young people to engage in consistent, professional, and impactful volunteer work for the benefit of their communities. The project not only supports existing initiatives but also empowers participants to develop and lead their projects to support Hesed programs and strengthen community life.

The project includes three core components:
- Awareness: inspiring teens and introducing them to the values of volunteerism
- Education: equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need
- Practice: implementing volunteer initiatives and joining active programs
