AJT Belarus regional seminar is not only about projects, but it’s also personal growth!
Last weekend was very productive for the Belarusian region. Teenagers from all over the country came to this year's first AJT regional seminar. The atmosphere of the seminar was unforgettably friendly, all participants without exception noted the importance of their activities in clubs and communities, tried to put their project ideas on paper, discuss and improve existing projects.
During the seminar, there were various activities and lessons on useful topics that will definitely help teenagers to implement projects and engage in the club. On the first day, newcomers learned about what AJT is and the opportunities that exist in the International Network of teenage clubs Active Jewish Teens. At that time graduates have analyzed their projects and made an action plan for the next season.
The second day was also productive! The guys, for whom it was the second seminar, prepared a strategic plan for the development of projects as a result of the discussion "What does my club lack". There were a lot of questions from new AJT participants at the seminar. What is a project? How to reveal a problem in club and community and how to eliminate it? How to turn your idea into a project? All these questions were answered by Alex Schmidt, head of Joint's representative office in the Republic of Belarus, during the lessons on project management.
AJT seminars are not only about projects, but they’re also personal growth! After studying the theory of public speaking, having watched TED videos as an example, all without exception tried themselves on stage to learn to represent them and to interest the audience.
Of course, the seminar would not have been held without a very important component as all the above - without the AJT theme of the year by Sergey Mitrofanov. The Jewish calendar, the secrets of the month of Adar, stand-up through a movie midrash, holding the Shabbat - this is what the participants went to their cities with and will be able to apply in their classes in clubs.
The meeting of spring was absolutely a joyful and memorable event: the results of the seminar make us believe that the forces invested in the seminar, the words spoken by the speakers and the participants themselves were heard and important to everyone! Have a good project launch for our newcomers and see you at the next seminar!
